Acceptable Use Policy

The devices Tfastunlocker may be used on, the operations that are never acceptable, and what happens to an account that breaks these rules.

Why this policy exists

Our software performs operations that are legitimate in a repair shop and serious offences in the wrong hands. The difference is authorisation, and no software can detect it. This policy sets out the line, so that nobody can claim they did not know where it was.

Devices you may work on

You may use the service on a device you own, or on a device whose lawful owner has asked you to service it. For customer work, keep a record of the job: who brought the device in, proof of their identity, and their instruction to you. Keep it for as long as your local law requires.

Devices you may never work on

Never use the service on a device that is lost, found, stolen, seized, or subject to a dispute about ownership, or on one you were asked to unlock by somebody who cannot show they own it. A device that arrives with no proof of purchase, a suspicious story, or a removed label deserves your suspicion, not your credits.

Device identifiers

Do not use the service to change, clone, or falsify an IMEI, serial number, or other device identifier where that is unlawful, and never to make one device impersonate another. Repairing a genuine identifier damaged during a board-level repair is a different matter from assigning a number that was never the device own.

Account conduct

Your account is yours alone. Do not share credentials, sell access, run one licence across a workshop of machines, or create additional accounts to work around a limit or a suspension. One person or business, one account.

Technical conduct

Do not attempt to bypass licensing or credit metering, automate the software beyond normal use, probe or attack our systems, or interfere with other customers. Do not resell our service as your own without a written reseller agreement.

Reporting a suspicious device

If a device in your care turns out to be stolen, stop work and follow the reporting obligations that apply where you operate. Tell us as well if any operation has already been run through your account, so the record is accurate.

How we enforce this

We investigate reports and unusual patterns. Depending on what we find we may ask for the job records, suspend an account while we look, or close it. Where a device is reported stolen, we cooperate with the lawful requests of the authorities, which is one reason we keep operation logs.

Consequences

Breaking this policy can end your access without refund of unused credits, and serious cases are reported. It can also expose you to criminal liability in your own country, which is a far larger problem than a closed account.
